CONFIRM YOUR FAITH

What is this idea of confirming our faith?

It’s not about religion, it’s not about going to church, it’s about a relationship with a living God. It’s the same God who created the universe.

All of us need to confirm our faith before we take our last breath. There is nothing we can do after we die to change our eternal condition. In addition, there is nothing anyone else can do on our behalf to change our eternal condition after we die.

Regardless of what church we are raised in or what church we currently attend we all must confirm our own faith at some point.  Simply going to church does not get you to heaven.

What is the difference between God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit?

God exists in a Trinity. That is three persons in one. Sometimes this is difficult to understand. Although that is what faith is all about. Believing something you cannot see. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Jesus is God. When Jesus came to earth He was essentially God in a human body. When Jesus rose from the dead and returned to heaven He sent the Holy Spirit to be here on earth. If we invite Jesus in our lives we have access to Him at all times because of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God will come and live inside the heart of anyone who will invite Him in.

John 3:16 tells us that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. If you were the only person alive on the day Jesus died, He would have died just for you. When He died on the cross for all mankind He died for each one of us individually. He took all of our sins upon His cross so that we can live without shame or guilt for anything we have done in the past, present, or future. We also do not need to do anything for our salvation other than believe that Jesus died for us and invite Him into our life.

So what are you waiting for?

Ask Jesus to come into your life. Simply say: Lord come into my life, forgive me of my sins, and walk alongside me for the remaining days of my life.

Remember that God’s Spirit is now with you for the rest of your life.
Talk to Him. He is waiting to hear from you!
